Thanks to a whole lot of bugs in the Houston area, Mosquito Joe has found great success in Texas.
Houston was recently named one of the buggiest cities in America, and that is one of reasons for the incredible success of Mosquito Joe in the Houston market. The Houston Business Journal recently spoke with CEO Kevin Wilson about the brand’s success and plans for expansion.
According to the article, Houston is one of Mosquito Joe’s largest markets and the brand plans to open another 20 to 24 new locations in the Houston area, bringing its market coverage to more than 90 percent.
“Houston is a great market for us. I would call it probably our No. 1 market just in terms of quality of franchisees that we have and the opportunity we have to grow. We’re really just scratching the surface right now,” Wilson said.
The article mentions that pest control companies are seeing huge demand in the market, and Mosquito Joe hopes to capitalize on that demand.
“Houston has always been a humid city on the Gulf Coast with lots of water, lakes and bayous that attracts a heavy mosquito population. Our service allows families to spend more time outside enjoying their backyards.”
