As a leader in the mosquito control industry, Mosquito Joe makes a strong effort each year to build awareness for mosquito prevention on a local and national level during National Mosquito Control Awareness Week. This year, the week will be recognized from June 25th through July 1st and the brand will support two meaningful initiatives.
Along with raising awareness about mosquito-borne illness and emphasizing the importance of mosquito control, the brand works with local blood banks in order to give back in their communities. Now, in its fifth year of partnership, Mosquito Joe will donate a percentage of new customer sales over the course of the week to local blood donation centers in areas with participating franchise locations.
Additionally, Mosquito Joe and the United Nations Foundation’s Nothing But Nets campaign have partnered up this year to raise funds to help fight malaria. Participating Mosquito Joe locations across the country will donate $10 to Nothing But Nets on behalf of each new customer serviced during the week, providing an insecticide-treated bed net to a family in sub-Saharan Africa at risk of the disease and without the resources to stay protected.
In the month of June, Mosquito Joe has secured more than twenty press placements, bringing awareness to not only Mosquito Control Awareness Week, but also to the causes the local franchisees are supporting.
“Each year, Mosquito Control Awareness Week provides an opportunity for us to engage both our corporate team and local franchisees by extending their reach beyond mosquito control to educate customers to be prepared to fight pests, especially as concerns about mosquito-borne illnesses continue to grow,” said Mosquito Joe CEO Kevin Wilson.
